Describing the 6 handpiece of the PicoWay

Perhaps one of the most revolutionary technologies ever invented in the world of aesthetic dermatology is the PicoWay system. It’s designed to reverse the appearance of aging, eliminate tattoos, scars, and wrinkles, and improve the skin’s natural elastin and collagen reproduction.

The PicoWay works as an advanced anti-aging laser treatment that could be used on any skin type or color ranging from Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-VI.

Studies have shown that PicoWay lasers deliver:

  • Reduced acne scarring after three treatments

  • A high rate of benign pigmented lesion clearance

  • High rates of improvement in wrinkle appearance

  • Removal of multi-colored tattoos

The PicoWay machine features six handpieces that deliver the rejuvenated skin you desire. These handpieces come in either full beam or split beam types, with each handpiece designed for particular treatment use. Some handpieces are for tattoos, while some are for removing pigment due to aging or sun damage and treatment of wrinkles or acne scars.

The treatment generates a pattern of photomechanical (photoacoustic) injury in the dermis called Laser Induced Optical Breakdown (LOIB). This leads to a wound-healing process without tissue remodeling.

PicoWay Handpieces

All handpieces on the PicoWay laser target pigment on the skin. The pigment can be naturally formed by too much melanin in the skin. This appears as dark spots on the skin that can either be seen at birth or developed over time from sun damage (sometimes called sunspots), aging, or even as a result of medical conditions. The pigment can also be added to the skin in the form of ink in a tattoo. In either case, the PicoWay laser targets the pigment and shatters it into tiny particles that are no longer seen through the skin.

The PicoWay handpieces also have four true picosecond wavelengths for optimal treatment customization with handpiece clearances spanning Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-VI. It’s recommended that you book a consultation visit with your dermatologist or aesthetician to see if the PicoWay laser treatment is suitable for your problem and skin type/color.

Here’s a closer look at PicoWay’s 6 ergonomic handpieces.

PicoWay Resolve

PicoWay Resolve handpieces act at the dermis without breaking the epidermis. This happens because the handpieces split the beams into 101 evenly-spaced identical beams for a uniform treatment.

Here are some of the benefits of the PicoWay Resolve:

  • Reduced wrinkles

  • Minimized brown spots

  • Smoother texture

  • Stimulates collagen growth

  • Diminished acne scars

  • Faster results

PicoWay Resolve Fusion 532nm

The PicoWay Resolve Fusion provides a gentler treatment for building new collagen and elastin so that the newly-treated skin is transformed. This also makes up for a low to no downtime during sessions.

PicoWay Resolve 1064

Getting rid of hyperpigmentation has never been this easy! With the PicoWay Resolve 1064, say bye-bye to your acne scars, wrinkles, brown spots, and other signs of aging in no time. This handpiece treats your skin with little to no downtime and could treat as much as 6x6 mm of skin area in a wide range of skin types and colors.

PicoWay Resolve 532

Don’t like the appearance of your aging skin? Treat that. The PicoWay Resolve 1064 combats hyperpigmentation caused by aging, skin irregularities, acne scars, and wrinkles. It also maximizes elastin and collagen production in your skin, so the effect of the treatment lasts long. Plus, there’s little downtime afterward.

PicoWay Zoom 532 nm / 1064 nm

The full-beam PicoWay Zoom 532 and 1064 nm are masters at benign pigmented lesions like lentigines, CALMs, and tattoo removals. This handpiece can treat a spot size of up to 10 mm. Bid your faded tattoos adieu!

The 1064 nm specifically improves skin texture, tone, and color. It also treats PIH, nevus of ota, and hori macules. It targets the source of the problem within the dermis through a zoom handpiece, and the treatments range from 2 to 10 mm spot sizes.

PicoWay 785

The PicoWay 785 is a full-beam laser specialized for removing blue and green tattoos, which are significantly harder to treat than plain black tattoos. There will surely be a visible erasure of your blue tattoos in just a couple of treatment sessions.

PicoWay 730

This handpiece treats benign pigmented lesions and tattoo removal in a range of skin types. It has an optimized wavelength and is considered to have the shortest pulse duration with the highest peak power. The 730 nm optimized wavelength improves treatment through stronger melanin absorption, stronger blue and green tattoo ink absorption, and less hemoglobin absorption.

Conclusion

Treating and rejuvenating your skin has never been easier yet bold. With the PicoWay system, there are several treatment options for different skin issues. Now you can treat problem areas such as the forehead, periorbital, cheeks, nose, chin, perioral, and jawline easily — with low to no downtime, faster and more visible results, no potential risk of scarring or perforation of the epidermis, and without the hours-long session.
